Business Profile

Cautrac supply new and used construction equipment from Colchester and Bolton branches. Products on include Morooka and Yamaguchi Japanese built, rubber tracked carriers and the competitively-priced TrackBarrow range. Cautrac is appointed as a dealer for the CAT Compact range of equipment including Mini Excavators, Telehandler, Skidsteer, Telescopic Loaders and Compaction Rollers. Cautrac offers a big choice at both locations with over 300 used machines in stock at any one time and probably includes one of the largest selections of used tracked dumpers for sale in Europe.
Our parts department supplies competitive new and used undercarriage spares and many components for different machines including the CAUTRAC branded rubber track range and rubber city pads.

About Us Founded in 1994 Causeway Tractors Ltd in Great Horkesley Colchester began as a small construction equipment sales company and would eventually grow into one of the top construction equipment sales companies in the country. During the 90's the company rapidly grew and expanded from its humble beginnings, we began dealing in all types of construction equipment from excavators to backhoe loaders, with a particular emphasis on tracked dumpers, we now sell used and new machines up to and including 11 ton tracked dumpers all over the world.

'Cautrac' as we became known are the sole U.K. importer for Morooka and Yamaguchi, specialise in tracked dumpers of all sizes. With headquarters in Colchester and a new, bigger branch opened in Bolton, Lancashire in early 2007 headed up by Craig Taylor, Cautrac cemented itself as a big name in the construction industry with over 10,000 machines passing through our gates since we began trading.

Services As the sales side of Cautrac grew, we also began to diversify into other areas of the market, notably our parts department which was developed in the late 90's. This has grown continuously over the last ten years, from an internal system to source and supply parts in-house to our very busy workshops, we soon realised that Cautrac could help other companies by offering parts for imported machines.

With our first-hand experience of imported equipment and knowledge of which parts cause common problems we were very quickly able to build a stock of spares to suit a variety of machines.

The parts department were able to expand with the addition of our official importers of Morooka and Yamaguchi tracked dumpers status. This gave us the chance to increase our spare parts range, and develop our knowledge; not only on these brands, but for all tracked dumpers. This has led to us becoming Europe's largest stockist of spare parts to suit Morooka Yanmar Mitsubishi Komatsu Hitachi and IHI tracked dumpers.
